Finding the right size

You don't need a jeweller's tool: a strip of paper, a ruler and two minutes are enough.

Prefer a ready-made sheet? Download the printable size guide: it has a circle for every size, to lay a ring you already own on, and a strip to cut out and tighten around your finger. Print it at 100%, actual size: the sheet shows you how to check this with a 1 euro coin.

The paper strip method

  1. Cut a strip about 5 mm wide and 10 cm long from a sheet of paper.
  2. Wrap it around the finger where you will wear the ring, snug but not pulled tight.
  3. With a pen, mark the exact point where the paper overlaps.
  4. Open it out and use the ruler to measure the millimetres up to the mark: that is your finger circumference.
  5. Look up that number in the chart below, or tell us when you place your order and we'll take care of the rest.

Measure in the evening, not right after waking up. Fingers swell slightly over the course of the day and in the heat: measuring in the morning almost always leads to a ring that is too tight.

Already have a ring that fits?

Measure its inside diameter with a ruler, laying it edge to edge across the widest point. Compare it with the “diameter” column in the chart. It is the quickest method, but also the easiest to get wrong by half a millimetre: if you can, check with the paper strip.

In practice, the Italian size equals the inside circumference minus 40 mm: a circumference of 54 mm is a size 14. Sizes 9 to 16 are available in the 4 mm band, size 19 only in the 8 mm band.

4 mm or 8 mm band?

It is an aesthetic choice, but it affects the fit: a wider band fits tighter because it rests on a larger area of the finger.

If you are between two sizes and choose the 8 mm band, take the larger size. With the 4 mm band, stay with the smaller one.
